Student Spotlight: Jennifer Southerland

Career Tracks is proud to highlight Jennifer Southerland as this issue’s student spotlight. Before enrolling with Career Tracks, Jennifer built a successful career in real estate and served as CEO of the nonprofit organization Redeemed and Restored Ministries in Sealy, Texas.

Pursuing a New Path

When Jennifer expressed interest in the Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) program, the Career Tracks team worked quickly to support her enrollment. Through available grant opportunities, Jennifer was able to attend the program at no cost. During her coursework, she was recognized as a top student for her dedication and performance.

Looking Ahead

“Jennifer became a standout student—committed, engaged and driven by her passion to serve others,” said Becky Friend, Career Tracks case manager overseeing Jennifer’s progress. Today, Jennifer has completed all required courses and is working toward finishing her practicum hours as she prepares for the next phase of her career.
